Kidnapping Case Dismissed Day of Trial

Brett Lovins engaged the services of a forensic psychiatrist to develop a lack of criminal responsibility defense for his client accused of kidnapping. On the day of trial, prior to calling the expert witness to the stand, Brett’s motion to dismiss was allowed based on the Commonwealth’s failure to proffer sufficient evidence to prove its case. The felony charge originated in the Woburn District Court.
