Over the Commonwealth’s objection, Brett Lovins obtained a pre-arraignment dismissal for his juvenile client facing felony theft accusations. Preventing the charges from issuing preserved the client’s clean record. The case originated in the Lowell Juvenile Court.

Brett Lovins won a motion to extend an abuse prevention order on behalf of his client, who had been living in fear of her ex-boyfriend defendant. The restraining order was extended for one year, the maximum time period permitted by law.

Brett Lovins persuaded the Middlesex Superior Court to reconsider a previous ruling and remove the condition of house arrest for his client facing armed robbery charges. The amendment enabled Brett's client to maintain full-time employment.

Brett Lovins obtained a dismissal prior to arraignment for his client after a clerk’s hearing in the Boston Municipal Court. The case involved allegations of felony larceny from a building. The pre-arraignment dismissal enabled Brett’s client to preserve a clean record.

Brett Lovins obtained a case dismissal for his client on the day of trial when the Commonwealth failed to proffer sufficient evidence to prove its case. The case originated in the Malden District Court and involved allegations of assault and battery.

Brett Lovins won an acquittal for his client charged with assault and battery after a jury trial in the Boston Municipal Court. During the prosecutor’s case-in-chief, Brett highlighted flaws in the police investigation and the credibility of the complaining witness. The Not Guilty verdict preserved the client’s clean record.
